Grit-A-Rita (Fancy Version)

Ingredients

It tastes like a regular Margarita – We Promise!

  • 1.5 oz Kentucky Grit Unaged Corn Whiskey (only 1.5 oz asit’s 103 proof!)
  • 1 oz Lime Juice – freshly squeezed
  • ½ oz Orange Liqueur or Triple Sec
  • ½ oz Brown Sugar Syrup or Agave Syrup
  • Garnish with a Lime Wheel
  • Optional Salted Rim
Instructions
  • Add Whiskey, Lime Juice, Liqueur, and Syrup to a shakerfille with ice.
  • Shake until well chilled and frost forms on outside.
  • Strain into a Rocks or Margarita Glass filled with freshice.
  • Garnish with a lime wheel.
  • If you’d like a salted rim, before making the cocktail, runa lime wedge around the rim of the glass to wet, then place rim into a koshersalt.
  • Brown Sugar (Demerara) Syrup
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar or Demerara Sugar (such as Sugar In TheRaw)
  • Heat in Microwave Safe container, stir to fully dissolvesugar.
  • Cool and store in sealed container in the refrigerator forup to 3 weeks.

  • Add Whiskey and Margarita Mix to a shaker fille with ice.
  • Shake until well chilled and frost forms on outside.
  • Strain into a Rocks or Margarita Glass filled with fresh ice.
  • Garnish with a lime wheel.
  • If you’d like a salted rim, before making the cocktail, run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass to wet, then place rim into a kosher salt.
